COVEN

COVEN

Theme:  RED - I think my blues are overpowering my reds in this series.

I was told to play with cross processing which always makes me nervous. ;)  I love what cross processing does to reds but I'm surprised at how much more enhanced it made my blues look too.  Hello BLUE eyes!! :)

Photographer - Laura Jarosz
Makeup Artist - Nicole Welkener LE
Model - Kristen Elliott
Location - San Antonio Park

Constructive Criticism, please!  I added 3 at the end without cross process for true color.

Thanks,
Lars

Downtown

I had fun working with an older child. Bri was great with direction and obviously gorgeous! :)

Here is  a clean edit of one of two of the images I selected for review followed by the enhanced edit.

The next image was my favorite of the whole series.  I told her to smile with her eyes and she did just that. I wanted a large landscape but where the viewers eye would go directly to her.  The first image is the clean/simple edit, followed by the second where I went with a  a warm cayenne edit and the third is a stone-like and colder edit...which personally , I loved the most.  Looking forward to CC.

Love Bugs...TASZ and TOOTIES

My Dog, Papo AKA Tootie Poops, has a huge piece of my heart.  He is 13 and has been through some of the best and worst times in my life with me. It was just him and I when I moved to Denver and we didn't know a single soul.  He HATED EVERYONE!!!  No joke. Wouldn't let anyone even near me.  He would eat q-tips like they were the most delicious thing in the world, get in trash, eat my makeup, eat my jewelry, eat my bras...I could go on and on. Best little worst dog in the world. He LOVED me.

When I got pregnant, my first fear was how he was going to HATE the baby.  I could already sense his cold shoulder.  The first day we brought her home he made sure I could see him give me his back as I held my daughter in my arms.  I was so worried that he was going to hate her and try to bite her just because that's what he would always do to anyone else.

Well, let me tell you a story about love...

Natasza and Papo.  She LOVED him from day one.  She made sure to make him love her.  We had 3 dogs and as she got older the only one she accepted was Tooties.  He started to prefer her over me and as much as that broke my heart...it melted it at the same time.

Although he still eats q-tips, gets in the trash, and is the best/worst little dog in the world....he turned out to be the BEST family dog in the world.

I took this photo of them two years ago when I knew I loved photography but didn't know anything about the rules.  Its obviously a terrible photo...but I love the love. It was also shot in auto...think I used a pocket cam.

My thought for this assignment to was to do a re-shoot of the two of them. My first babies together again.  My daughter is my real life "Fancy Nancy". She loves those books. I let her dress herself as well as Tooties.  These moments I will cherish forever!

Breaking the Law...of Photography.

Well...I attempted.

Unrealistic proportion. She's as tall as a palm tree.  Dappled/streaking light coming through the bench to the floor.
